Custom Pool Builder in Rock Hill, SC
Pools That Look Incredible.
Built to Last.
Fiberglass, vinyl liner and shotcrete pools, designed and built for homeowners in Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Charlotte and the towns between, with owner Aaron Van Riper involved from the first site visit to the final walkthrough.
Fiberglass Vinyl Shotcrete
What We Build
Pools, Spas and Everything Around Them.
As a pool builder in Rock Hill, SC, we take a backyard from bare grass to a finished place to swim, soak and gather. That means the pool itself, whether a fiberglass shell set in days, a vinyl liner pool shaped to your budget or a shotcrete pool formed by hand on site, along with the spa, the water features, the lighting, the equipment and the deck that ties it all together.
Because one team plans and builds every part, the pieces are designed to work with each other from the start, with the plumbing for a spillover spa, the conduit for LED lighting and the footprint of the deck settled before excavation begins. Not sure which pool type suits your yard? Each page below explains what a build involves, what it typically costs where we have a figure to share, and the questions worth asking before you sign anything.
A fiberglass pool is the fastest way to a finished inground pool, because the shell arrives ready and goes in once the ground is dug.
A vinyl liner pool is the most budget flexible way to a full size, custom shaped inground pool.
A shotcrete pool is formed by hand on your property, so its shape, depth and features answer to your yard and nothing else.
A spa adds year round warmth to a backyard, whether it spills into a new pool, stands alone or arrives as a hot tub. We design and install all three around Rock Hill and Charlotte.
Tanning ledges, waterfalls, scuppers, bubblers, LED laminars and lighting turn a pool into the place everyone gathers.
The deck and coping frame the pool and carry every footstep around it, so we design and build them as part of the project.
About VR3
Built Around One Simple Goal.
VR3 Pool Construction is Aaron Van Riper's company, and it carries his standards. Aaron built it around quality, precision and outdoor spaces that stand apart from the house next door, and he stays close to every project rather than handing it off after the contract is signed.
Our work runs from custom pool builds to complete backyard makeovers. Aaron and his crew bring the same attention to detail to a straightforward fiberglass install as they do to a shotcrete pool with an attached spa, a tanning ledge and a run of scuppers, pairing modern design with sound construction practice so the result holds up to years of real use.
Every project starts the same way: a visit to your property, a conversation about how you want to use the space, and a clear, itemized proposal. From there we manage excavation, plumbing, equipment, coping, decking and start up, then walk you through the finished pool so you know exactly how it runs.

Features
The Details People Remember.
The shape of a pool gets it approved; the details are what people talk about afterward. We design and build the features that turn a pool into the center of the yard, from a shallow ledge for lounging to a spa that spills into the water below.
A shallow shelf for chairs, kids and sun.
Warm water that cascades into the pool.
Compact pools sized for smaller backyards.

Aaron was great - very professional and not at all ‘pushy’. He’s an educator not a salesperson. He knows pools and is very easy to talk to and learn from. He listens and guides decisions to best suit your needs and wants. My wife and I were very satisfied with the entire process from start to finish. Quick install of our fiberglass shell. Great communication throughout the process and prompt response to questions we had. Works well with the hardscape contractor and even the local inspector! We highly recommend VR3 Pools.

Aaron made the process smooth and I watched with peace of mind as our backyard paradise unfolded before my eyes! Due to our soil we ran into slate rock . He calmly took charge and overcame that obstacle . We received honesty , hard work and were enjoying every minute of our back yard paradise !

VR3 Construction was incredibly helpful in steering my project in the right direction! They did an amazing job grading my property, extending my driveway and building a small retaining wall in the corner of my yard. With the right equipment, they got the job done incredibly quickly and with professional results. I look forward to having them assist in a in-ground pool installation in the future. I wouldn’t hire anyone else!

Aaron and Conner were great to work with. They listened to our ideas, made some suggestions and quoted out just what we agreed on. There were no surprises such as "hidden costs" or "misunderstandings" They showed up as planned, worked hard, and completed the job as planned. We are very happy with the outcome and are already looking at another job with VR3.

I reached out to VR3 Construction and Consulting with several unresolved issues from a different company we hired. The considerations were correcting drainage, creating access to our front door and back, along with repairing our driveway. They took time to provide multiple solutions and talked through what would be the best direction for us to go. They arrived on time and completed a large project in just a couple of days. We had received several quotes and I am really glad we went with them. They will be my first call if we need help again in the future because of the fair cost and professional service!

I had a great experience with Aaron and VR3 Contracting. I was looking to put in a small retaining wall and a level travertine patio in for a self contained hot tub I was adding in the pool area of my yard. The area needed to be level and solid to support the tub. After consulting with VR3 we came up with a solution that took care of all my requirements, fit well with the other areas of my yard and didn't break the bank. My main concerns were the contractors attention to detail, communicating during the project, clean up afterwards and ability to make me happy. VR3 satisfied me in all these areas. Will definitely use them again on both large and small projects! They have a lot of knowledge!
