A plunge pool gives a compact backyard real water to cool off in, on a footprint that fits where a full size pool will not. We build them across Rock Hill, Fort Mill and the surrounding towns.

Why a Plunge Pool
A Real Pool, Scaled to Fit.
Plunge pools in Rock Hill, SC fill a gap that many homeowners know well: the yard has room for a patio and some planting, but not for a full size pool. A plunge pool is a compact inground pool designed for cooling off, wading, light exercise and unwinding after work, without demanding the whole backyard.
Small does not mean plain. We size each plunge pool to its lot and finish it to the same standard as our larger builds, with modern finishes, lighting and water features available. Because the footprint is smaller, the space around it matters even more, and we plan the decking, steps and seating so the pool feels like part of the house rather than squeezed into a corner.
A plunge pool also asks less of you over time. Less water means less to heat, treat and circulate, and the smaller surface is quicker to keep clean, which makes it an appealing choice for busy households and for in town lots.
- Sized for tighter and in town lots
- Smaller footprint and lower overall cost
- Less water to heat and treat
- Lighting and features available

What to Consider
Planning a Small Backyard Pool.
The first question is placement. In a small backyard pool project, every foot counts, so we look at setbacks, fences, access for equipment and how the pool will relate to the back door, the patio and the sun through the day. The right position can make a modest space feel generous.
The second is how you will use it. A plunge pool built mainly for cooling off and relaxing may favor wide steps and a bench, while one used for exercise or for children may favor a little more length or a shallow area. Some homeowners add heat so the pool can double as a warm soak in cooler months; others pair it with a separate spa.
The third is what surrounds it. Coping, decking, lighting and a small water feature do a lot of work in a compact yard, and we plan them with the pool so the finished space looks complete. You receive an itemized proposal that shows the pool and every addition, so you can decide what matters most.

The Process
How We Build It.
Plunge pool installation follows the same careful steps as our full size pools, just on a smaller scale. It starts with a visit to your property to measure the space, check grade and drainage and talk through how you want to use the pool.
From there we design the pool and its surroundings, then excavate, build or set the pool, complete the plumbing and equipment, and finish with coping, decking and any features. Access can be tighter on smaller lots, so we plan equipment routes before work begins to protect the rest of your yard.
The project ends with start-up and a walkthrough, so you know how the pool, the equipment and any lighting or features work before you use it.

Questions
Before You Start.

What is a plunge pool?
A plunge pool is a compact inground pool built for cooling off, relaxing and light exercise rather than swimming laps. It takes up far less of the yard than a full size pool, which makes it a strong choice for smaller lots and in town properties. It can still include lighting, seating and water features, finished to the same standard as a larger build.
Is a plunge pool cheaper than a regular pool?
A plunge pool generally costs less than a full size pool built to the same standard, because there is less excavation, less material and a smaller area of decking around it. It also uses less water, chemicals and energy over time. The final figure depends on your site and the features you choose, and we price it from a visit to your property.
Will a plunge pool fit in my yard?
In many cases, yes. Plunge pools are designed for tighter spaces, but setbacks, fences, slopes and access for equipment all affect what fits and where. We measure the space and check those details during the site visit, then show you the options that work, so you know before you commit whether a plunge pool is the right choice.
Can a plunge pool be heated?
Yes, a plunge pool can be heated, and because it holds far less water than a full size pool, it heats more quickly. Some homeowners use a heated plunge pool like a large spa in the cooler months. We talk through heating, along with lighting and features, during the design stage so the equipment is planned in from the start.
Compare
Other Ways to Build.
If your yard has a little more room, a full size pool or one of our spas and pool and spa combos may be worth comparing.

A fiberglass pool is the fastest way to a finished inground pool, because the shell arrives ready and goes in once the ground is dug.

A vinyl liner pool is the most budget flexible way to a full size, custom shaped inground pool.

A shotcrete pool is formed by hand on your property, so its shape, depth and features answer to your yard and nothing else.

A spa adds year round warmth to a backyard, whether it spills into a new pool, stands alone or arrives as a hot tub. We design and install all three around Rock Hill and Charlotte.

Tanning ledges, waterfalls, scuppers, bubblers, LED laminars and lighting turn a pool into the place everyone gathers.

The deck and coping frame the pool and carry every footstep around it, so we design and build them as part of the project.
